• The Jurors Lists for 1867 and 1939 are now both online. Thank you to wingcli2015 for typing up both lists, especially the 1939 list, which is a long one. We now have a continuous set of Jurors Lists from 1894 to 1941 available on Gwulo, all typed up by volunteers and available for everyone to benefit from. Next we'll work backwards to fill in the gaps, starting with the list for 1893. Please click here to join in and help type up a page.

• Thanks for your replies to my question in last week's newsletter, asking if anyone recognised the 1920s couple at the Peak Hotel. I'd hoped they were local residents that a reader may be able to identify, but I now think they were Italian tourists.

  • I recently spent some time in Hong Kong with a local family. They would talk about changes, for example how the harbor waterfront had moved so much from the old days. I gave them this book as a gift, and we could look at the old waterfront. It was so fascinating, like travelling back in time. Well done!
