Don't be put off by the name but the HK Anthropological Soc, is unique the only soc in the world where professional anthros, semi professionals and amateurs meet.

They have lectures at least monthly at the History museum in TST East, which are on Pearl Delta Issues about half the time.
After the lecture they meet and chat for a self paying meal.
They also organise trips and have an academic journal for members and a web journal for local students mainly.
The lectures are normally in English and sometimes in Chinese.
oh and the lectures are FREE!!
