The street numbers (and sometimes the street name) changed multiple times in Hong Kong as the city grew. Below are the road number changes for Robinson Road
Road number changes for Caine Road are here
Conduit Road renumbering here
Peak Renumbering here
On Robinson Road the northern, downhill side of the street were even numbers while the Southern side were odd. This is the opposite to the numbering on Caine Road.
When the Murray Battery site was used for the public works department new buildings, boundary stones marked B.O. were found. It was suggested that they stood for Board of Ordnance. The street lamps outside seven and six Penny Hill were also marked B.O. this appears to be the mark for all military property. "Like the V.R. of those days (now "G.R.")"

I'd like to file my old slides in a better way than the jumble of envelopes they are currently in. I'll use the plastic sheets that hold several slides per page and fit into a ring binder, like these:

Has anyone seen them for sale here in Hong Kong?
Thanks & regards, David
The 1924 map and the HK Gov Map app together do a great job of identifying lot numbers pin pointing various places.
Is it possible to add a lot number attribute
Thanks to Elizabeth Ride for sharing this speech given by her father, Sir Lindsay Ride. She writes: "My father was on the HK Red Cross committee before the war, and spent time during his leave in Australia in 1940 raising funds for this organisation. He gave the speech below at that time."

The following images were taken by Tony Hawes in (most likely) July 1979. They are taken from the cockpit. He wrote me that he wasn’t stationed in Hong Kong, but visited this city twice – in 1963 and 1979. The images are in the order he remembers.

This one is already at the Kowloon Peninsula showing Mei Foo Sun Chuen housing estate and the Lai Chi Kok municipal incinerator. Flight direction is south-east.
Dear Colleagues:
I wondered if you could share any potential information that may be in your archives related to the Chinese Red Cross that was headquartered in Hong Kong from 1938 – 1942. My specific interest is the international members of the medical relief corps of the Chinese Red Cross.
Hello,
I'm looking for photos or other material taken in the Ping Shan of the New Territories before 1980. My family had an ancestral memorial (graves) there, within walking distance of Old Ping Shan police station. It was exhumed owing to the development of Hong Kong in the late 80's or so.
The location of the original site has been lost. I would like to collect more images and information of the surrounding area at the time, for the benefit of future generations.
Dear all,
