The BM-Causeway Bay Cinema has an impressive pedigree. Roxy Theatre [1949-1974] was the first theatre to operate at the site. Next was Tokyo Cinema [1993-1997 est.] which was built on the same site. ABC Cathay Theatre was built on the same site and it operated during the period August 16, 1986 - July 11, 1997.

The theatre was located on the southwest corner of Fir - Larch intersection and its current occupant is Lever Building 麗華大廈.
Ying King Theatre operated during the period October 23, 1960 - September 1, 1977. It was closed for two months in the summer of 1970 for renovation.
