Hello David,
Its just clicked over to 1st December here in the UK, so since I'm still up I thought I'd get in with a "Happy Birthday, dear Barbara" and greet an amazing lady who, as Pete Spurrier said in his blog post, could put authors quarter her age to shame in terms of 'get-up-and-go-ness', and has given all of us on this site so much over the years. Ad Multos Annos, Barbara Anslow - 100 today. Have a lovely day!

We then looked at a few example photos from Volumes 1 & 2 of the Gwulo book. The last photo gave us a chance to walk up to Cornwall Street and take a look at a piece of Kowloon's hidden history, the old Beacon Hill tunnel.

Looking for men serving national service with my dad, Roland Pratt, in Hong Kong. He joined as Royal Warwicks then they amalgamated to fusiliers during 1960 to 61.
Thanks to Annemarie Evans for inviting me on to her RTHK show, Hong Kong Heritage, for a chat about old photos of Hong Kong, and a visit to a piece of Kowloon's hidden history.
We finished up with a competition to win copies of both of the Gwulo books: last year’s Volume 1, and the new Volume 2 which will be published later this month. For details of how to enter, please listen to this week’s show at the link below (our chat begins at the 01:15 mark):
