I read from a newspaper that there is now an exhibition of HK aviation history at the Airport. According to the newspaper article, it is on the Departures level in Terminal 1. Has anyone got a chance to have a look? Is it worth heading all the way out to Chek Lap Kok to see it?

I am trying to piece together the early life of my grandfather and great aunt who were both born in Hong Kong in 1895 and 1898 respectively. I wonder if any forum members may have any tips for my search. Research I have done so far:-

Can anyone help with identifying this wooden door. I bought it in Hong Kong before the handover and always wondered about Mr. C. U. Chan (why is there an umlat?) and what he did. I would also like to know what the writing says. I really love it!
