D'Aguilar's Hospital/Main HQ Block (Wellington Barracks) [c.1845-c.1964]

Source: Victoria Barracks (Hong Kong) 1842-1979. Edited by Lieutenant Colonel D.H. Oxley

In the mid-1840s, General D'Aguilar instructed Major Aldrich to build a [army] hospital. To isolate the sick from the main living accommodation, the building was constructed at the eastern side of the army's properties (cantonment). The name D'Aguilar's Hospital was (inofficially) used, officially the name was  Military Hospital.

F Block, Hospital, Wellington Barracks / Nelson Block [????-????]

[2024 update: I originally created this Place to show the location of the army's Women's Hospital, believing it was located here. Now we see that the 'F' on the 1901 map is more likely just the identifier for the block, 'F Block', as described in the comments below. Which block was used for the Women's Hospital isn't clear at this point.]
