Henry Charles DURRSCHMIDT [1891-1972]

A long time Hong Kong resident. Appears in the 1920 Jurors List onwards as working for Standard Vaccum Oil Co. Ltd..

After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned in Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Jennie Paula DUNNETT (née WHITE) [1922- ]

Jennie Paula White was married to Felix Frederick Arthur Dunnett. They had a son, Michael born in Hong Kong on 23 November 1940. Her husband was in the HKVDC and fought in the Battle of Hong Kong.

Marion DUDLEY [1895-1978]

Marion Dudley began her social work career in the YMCA in 1917. She came to Hong Kong in 1927 to work for the YWCA till 1931 and then returned to China again in 1938. In 1941, she was the advisory secretary for the YWCA in South China. Marion Dudley was interned in Stanley Camp and repatriated to the United States the following year.

Flora Elizabeth DODSON [1888-1965]

Flora Dodson was an American missionary who served in China and Hong Kong under the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board. She began her missionary and educational work in Canton (Guangdong), China in Pooi To Girls' School. In 1926, Flora Dodson became the  School's principal. Later, she came to Hong Kong to continue her bible teaching and educational work.

Leiter Lee BAKER [1890-1970]

Leiter L. Baker appears in the 1941 Jurors List as an Inspector in the Arnhold Trading Co., Ltd. He was interned and repatriated with other Americans in 1942. He returned to Hong Kong and reappears in the 1947 Jurors List as Leiter Lee Baker working for the same company. 

Obituary/Memorial:

Leiter L. Baker, 80, died 18 September at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Washington. He was buried in the National Cemetery, Culpepper, on 21 September.

William Thomas COSTEN [1893-1968]

In 1941, William Thomas Costen was an Assistant Accountant with Standard Vacuum Oil Co. Ltd.. After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States.

After his return, he recounted "the horrors of war" in the Worcester Democrat newspaper in October 1942. See the following links:

James Wilton CLAGUE [1897-1983]

James Wilton Clague and his wife moved to Shanghai in about 1930. He later appears in Hong Kong in the 1939 Jurors List as a Passenger Agent for American President Lines. In 1940, Clague's wife and son were evacuated to the United States.

After the fall of Hong Kong, Clague was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.
