Reg was named for Sir Reginald Stubbs, who his mother had been introduced to as a 10 year old - the first little Russian girl at Central British School.

I was born in Hong Kong in 1936. Evacuated to Australia via Philipines in 1940 and ended up in Moree NSW. Taken to England 1945 and returned to Hong Kong 1948. School at KGV Graduated from Loughborough College and St Pauls as PE teacher but called up for NS so undertook a 5 year short service commission in the RAF. Posted to RAF Cosford, RAF Colerne and RAF Cranwell. Retired as Flt Lt.

After reading the excellent Fighting for Two Kings: Danish Volunteers in the Defence of Hong Kong 1941 by Frode Olsen I (being Swedish) started to think if there were any Swedes in Hong Kong during this time. 

Buried in the Hong Kong Cemetery in Happy Valley:
