Christopher J. LIVINGSTON [1906-????]
Christopher J. Livingston worked for Caltex in Indo-China, India, Korea as well as Hong Kong. He was present in Hong Kong during its surrender to the Japanese and was interned at Stanley Camp. Livingston was released and repatriated to the United States in 1942. Upon his return to the U. S., he continued to work for Caltex and was sent to India and Ceylon (Sri Lanka).

Lam Shi HUNG [1856-1915]
1856 - A daughter is born on April 10 to a Chinese mother. This daughter eventually marries Lam Fai Wing (also Eurasian) and becomes known as Hung Lam Shi.
1915 - Hung Lam Shi dies on November 26, aged 59. She is buried in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in HK.
Frederick Arthur EWINS (aka Freddie) [1904-1974]
Frederick Arthur Ewins was born in England on March 4th, 1904, and served with the British Army and the Shanghai Defence Force before joining the Shanghai Municipal Police as a Probationary Sergeant in 1928. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1931, Sub-Inspector in 1937 and Inspector in 1941. His contract was terminated by the Japanese on February 22nd, 1943.
Charles M. LARSON JR. (aka Chuck) [1934-2017]
Born to Alice and Charles Martin Larson in Hong Kong in 1934. His father worked for the Standard Vacuum and Oil Company at Lai Chi Kok.
The Larson family was interned in Stanley Internment Camp in 1942 and later repatriated to the United States. Their arrival on the Gripsholm was recorded in The Daily News Times, Neenah, Menasha, Wisconsin here

Paul Erwin RAETZ [1937-2015]
Born to missionary parents, Florence and Erwin William Raetz in Hong Kong in 1937.
The Raetz family was repatriated on the Gripsholm in 1942. Their arrival in the United States is mentioned here in The Daily News Times, Neenah, Menasha, Wisconsin on 26 August 1942.
In 1946, the Raetz family moved to Canton, China but later was forced to leave and settle in Hong Kong. They returned to the United States in December 1950.

Elizabeth R. PARK (aka Betty) [1934-????]
Born in Hong Kong to American missionaries, Catherine and Harland A. Park.
The Assemblies of God Heritage Magazine (Winter 1991) has an article on "Missionaries Caught in the Crossfire" in Hong Kong during the Japanese invasion. The Park family and their fellow missionaries are mentioned, including photos of themselves on board the exchange ship "Gripsholm". See here
