I was born in Hong Kong in 1936. Evacuated to Australia via Philipines in 1940 and ended up in Moree NSW. Taken to England 1945 and returned to Hong Kong 1948. School at KGV Graduated from Loughborough College and St Pauls as PE teacher but called up for NS so undertook a 5 year short service commission in the RAF. Posted to RAF Cosford, RAF Colerne and RAF Cranwell. Retired as Flt Lt. Lectured at Derby Coll Advanced Technology, then Head of Outdoor activity and converted redundant RAF Calshot into leisure facilities for Hants CC, took post of Deputy Director of National Sports Centre for Wales, then founded a private company Bendcrete Climbing Walls Ltd following development of thin shell concrete panels, Then under took Leisure manager post for Oxford City Council after 5 years moved to Wokingham District Council as Director of Leisure and took early retirement after 9 years and formed second Bendcrete Company to design and build skate Parks. Retired aged 87.
