Using a Minolta 35mm film camera with zoom lense, this is a photograph taken by Chinarail from the balcony of a friend's apartment in Kennedy Road, believed to be Monticello (although unconfirmed). The view is looking right from the flat's balcony with the Hong Kong Football Stadium visible centre-left and to the right of this, Happy Valley partially visible behind the hill and the Raimondi College Primary Section building as well as the AIA Building still under construction to the left of the college ( does anyone agree ? Another photograph was taken at the same time, looking towards Central district. See : ' View towards Central '

Back in the late 1960s, the south side of Kennedy Road (to the east of Bowen Drive/Monmouth Path) did not boast many high-rise buildings. I recall at the time Monticello was the tallest building on this section of Kennedy Road.
Immediately east of Monticello was Man Yuen Gardens. The latter building was completed in 1964 but only 12 storeys high. The higher floors of Monticello would have towered over it.
I have added other place locations to your photo. "Government Stadium" may have been entered in error for HKFC Stadium.

I have added an edit to my earlier comment concerning that property agent's photograph of a modern-day unit in Monticello. I have queried the end wall on one side of the balcony.

Back in those years, it used to be St. Margaret's instead.
The marker for Raimondi above is for their Central mid-levels campus. Their Shiu Fai Terrace campus started approximately in 2008, after St Margaret's vacated the site.
