During the second half of the 1960s, another reclamation was made at the western part of Central. Therefore old piers were demolished and new ones constructed. On the upper part (i.e. west) of the 1963 photo, the Rumsey Street Temporary Vehiclular Ferry Pier is still visible, it's gone in 1969.
Further east is the (old) Government Pier. It appears first on the 1905 map on Gwulo, this (or a bit earlier) should be the opening date. During the 1960s reclamation, it was demolished and replaced by two new ones slightly further east of the old one.
On the 1969 aerial photo we see the two berths of the (new) Government Pier, then the Outside Harbour Services Pier [1966-1995], the Inner Harbour Services Pier [1964-1995], and finally the Vehicular Ferry Pier, Central [1933-1994].
