Hi guys

Am looking for Santanee Thumrongchote who was in the same class with Olivia Prabowo. Lost contact when she got married in Switzerland.

Me? Mary Ann Mamaril. Hello Ronald and Harry, how are you?

I am currently in touch with Martine Lowe, Yvonne and Sharon Chi, Mary Chan, Stephen, Celesty and Angely Diano, Louise To and some other kids who were in the same class as my younger brother.

I am also in Friendster, look out for "Mary Ann Sparrow"

If anyone can help me get in touch with Santanee, my email address is as follows: jmsparrow@netvigator.com

Thanks,

Mary Ann

Hi Mary Ann,

How have you been? Im surprised you remember me. I just got in touch with Harry and Frederick (here at batgung) a couple of weeks ago. Take care and I hope you find Santanee....

ron

Hi Ronald,

Of course I remember you. I also remember your sister and Randy. I grew up looking up on you guys.

We are still in touch with Victoria Benitez and Betty Gonzales (I think that was her surname back then), all in America now.

Just glad to be back in touch.

Take care and hello to all.

Mary Ann

Hi Mary Ann,

Hahaha... I hope you became what you've wanted to be. We were bad role models, hehehe... I remember all those guys you've mentioned. Randy, I think is in the Phils. How about Raquel (?). What part of the U.S. is Victoria and Betty in? And where are you located now?

ron

Hi Ron,

Talking about bad role models....I have a passion for beer, staying up late and an occasional lesbian relationship. So, thanks guys, for screwing my life up!

Victoria lives in Tennessee with her husband and their baby boy. She is working as a nurse somewhere in the small town and is very happy with her life. She got married two years ago. Gina attended the wedding.

You remember my sister Gina, right? She's in Hong Kong with 2 boys and happily living a "Tai tai life".

As for Betty, she lives between San Francisco and Sacramento with Nonoy (Michael Briones) and their kidz.

Raquel? Do you mean "Charito?" If you meant her, she still lives in Hong Kong, in North Point to be exact,  with her husband and kidz. She left Jardine (the airline company) three to four years ago and is now working with a loan company with one of Victoria's younger sisters.

As for myself, I live in Hong Kong and Macau and France. The whole family are still here in Hong Kong. Living the luxurious lifestyle of a "kept" woman doing sweet "f.a."

I will let Betty and Victoria know about this website, so they can join the forum.

How is James? You still in touch with him?

Mary Ann

Hi M.A,

It's nice to hear that everyone is doing fine. As for you, I think you should live in San Francisco (hehehe). Seems that you're also having a great life and that's what counts, right? So no matter what you turned out, more power to you girl...

I only saw James once, since we went back home for college. My Mom has kept in touch with his Mom and from my understanding, he's in Saudi Arabia with his wife and kids. I tried 'googling' his name from time to time, but I come out empty...

Looks like you're a 'jetsetter'. Having three residence? Wish I could do that. But my three kids keeps me busy more than my job.

ron,

P.S- Yes, I meant Charito, and yes I remember your sister, Gina.

Hi Dennis,

What's up, man? Sorry, didn't get around to drop you a note right away. Looks like you have a family, too! So what have you been doing? Just got in touch with Harry and Fred a couple of weeks ago.
Funny how I discovered this site. I 'googled' my own name and this is where it lead me. So how's Hong Kong nowadays? Wish I could visit the place again... It looks like there are a couple of our batchmates that are still there.
Drop me a note and tell me what's going on with your life....

ron

HI

If you remember Tracy then you were probably in my class, I guess. Me and Imran Bajwa were the only 2 Pakistanis in our class. I dont seem to remember you by name but maybe some old events might help. Do reply as I really feel like knowing someone from that era again.

Regards

Imran Abbasi

P.S. I was made the school monitor from our class in class 4 I think (just to help you remember me).

Hey. My brother Philip and I went to RHIS in the early 90's, then were there a year or two after it changed to Sear Rogers. (I was 1990-94? About P4-F1) Many *great* memories of that school. My Mrs. Rudge soap memory is of a Korean boy named Jon Kiu (?) who was always in trouble. I lived on Lantau Island, where Mrs Strange lived, and our family later moved into her old house. We'd see her around all the time at the local restaurant/tavern. My dad still lives in HK and I think he sees her now and then, but I'm not sure about lately. Thanks to her (she taught my English class) I am a meticulous fan of good spelling & grammar. I miss her! I remember when Mrs. Rudge died (in an airport or something?) and the vice principal took over the school (don't remember her name). My favorite teachers included a very strict Scottish woman, first name Maureen. Then there was the Mandarin teacher who always said "Take your sheets" and we'd giggle. My brother just now reminds me of a black bird who lived at the back of the kitchen and was taught to say "Putanginamo!" Also, anybody remember the human fetus in a jar in some far-back shelf in a seldom-used classroom? The kinda creepy American Biology teacher? All the Filipino boys in my classes got me into Metallica, Megadeth, Nirvana... Anybody remember sneaking into the haunted old abandoned mental hospital down the road on High St? We snuck up on a police covert operation there where they were scoping something out through a window, across the street. I think we saw ghosts in there :)

My name is Sarah. I had blonde hair, American, and I was best friends with another girl named Sarah with brown hair (from Australia/NZ). Later homeschooled for a year then went to Sir Ellis Kadoorie. Now am a Paramedic in Portland, Oregon, USA. Nice reading all of your messages.

I am trying to trace my recently deceased mother´s history and I believe she attended Royden House in the 1947/1949 period. Her name was Lillian Wong Sut Lam. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

I attended RHS for five years from 1973(F1) thru 1978 (F5).
During those five years, we moved school location three times:
first, it was at Happy Valley, then Mcdonnell Road (mid-level), lastly Caine Road.
Any one remember me ?

Most of my best friends are Korean and few Chinese (1973-1978)
Ryee Young Kyu
Ryee Wan Kyu
George Young
Bosco Wong
Danny Hiu
Gurbhaj Singh Chima

Hope any of you read this and response
I am an Indonesian Chinese, back then my nickname is "Achaa"

I graduated in 1978 @ Caine Road.
Spent a few years in Happy Valley, the school was actually a mansion/house, classes are small.
Few teachers that I can still remember: Mr. Lai, Mr. Chen (siu luk pou), Mr. Wong and off course Mrs. Benson.

Remember, when a student forget to wear a tie, Mrs. Rudge always force the student to buy a new one.

were you in form 3 with Ronald, Harry, Tomoya, Fawad, Michele and Anil Dadlani.
Does anyone know where Mrs. Strange is? Does anyone still have the old year book?

For everyone who had studied in Royden House in Cain Road. I would like to let everyone know that i went there and had a look at the school yesterday and i saw it being knocked down.

Does anyone remember the Irish teacher who set up her students with penpals from her class back in Ireland? I forget her name. Very nice.

Also, the Korean girls Lisa and Rose, Lee, I think? Ameeta Aswani, a Pakistani girl whose name I forget, Tomoya, a Japanese boy who could draw really well. Was anyone here in that class?
