Father Allie belonged to the Maryknoll Mission and was ordained on 16 June 1935. Not mentioned in the Maryknoll Mission Archives of when he arrived in Hong Kong. He appears to have been transferred to the Orient, likely to Korea, in about 1938.

After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned at Stanley Camp. In camp, he held classes for prospective converts. In 1942, he was repatriated with other Americans to the United States.

In 1943, Father Allie moved to Guatemala to continue his missionary work.
