Lam Kam Road, running through the valley, heads over towards Kam Tin and Yuen Long.
The valley consists of 23 villages, 5 of which are Punti (indigenous Cantonese) and the rest (18) being Hakka.
Kadoorie Farm is located at the southwestern end of the valley.
The most likely reservoir referred to by Booth as he travels with his family, in their car, along Tai Po Road towards Shatin.
The tag is just an approximate location. I have not been to that location for nearly forty years so it practically a blank to me.

Here's a view of Swindon Bookshop (bottom left) on Nathan Road, as it looked in Booth's time. Today it's back on Lock Road.
Hi there,
The tag shown in the map is just an approximate location. From a copy of the HK City Guide 2008 published by Wan Li Book Co. Ltd, #139 Boundary Street is marked at the location of Block 4 of Kent Court. It would take a walk by to verify the exact location of #133.

Tag location corrected. Believe me or not, I managed to dig out a map dated 1990 with the right information. Back then before the Golden Coast was developed there was the Gordon Hard & the Perowne Barracks in the So Kwun Wat area. No wonder they have a military coach going to and from the city area.
