Pictures wanted
Hi, I'm writing an historical book on Hong Kong (yes, another!) and urgently after pictures of Sir Shouson Chow and Sir Robert Kotewall. Also any pix of the Stanley POW camp, British prisoner Franklin Gimsom and Japanese Military Governor Rensuke Isogai. Can anyone help steer me in the right direction

Cheung Chau Boundary Stones
Folks,
During yesterday's gathering a brief chat about the boundary stones in Cheung Chau was brought up.
Here's what I found on the Net. This group of people already have them mostly figured out. They have a photo album with maps.
If you have never seen any of these it would seem fit for a day trip following their lead.
Best Regards,

Photographs Relating to the Hong Kong Volunteers - Public Records Office
I've found an album of over 700 photos in the PRO archives, but one has to go through them one photo at a time. So, I'm trying to make them easier to access. I am just putting each photo URL sequentially - which is why some are blank. This is just the first pass, so the Captions are not with the photos yet.
Life Magazine Online
I don't know if anything on this has been posted before, but Google appears to have all the back issues of Life Magazine online. Amazing to flick through and a quite useful resource. Here's one for instance from Oct 7 1940, bringing to life the many faces of the British forces in Hong Kong, the thin red line of empire as they called it, as they await war with the Japanese.
