His wedding was reported on page 1 of The Hong Kong Telegraph, 1926-01-21:

Fire Brigade Officer

Married Hong Kong 1939 to Margaret nee Murray. She was returning to HK in November 1941 but was diverted to Australia where she stayed until late 1944 before returning to UK.

Briefly back in HK post war before moving to Australia late 1940s.

He may be the Charles William ‘Brown’ referred to as a recipient of the Colonial Police Medal? 

Albert Edward CLARKE [c.1885-????]

DoB from John Black's list, which gives Clarke's occupation in 1941 as "Civil Servant HKG".

The 1939 Blue Book lists him as a "Senior Inspector of Works" in the Public Works Department, appointed on 7th July, 1926. It also shows he received a $60 language allowance, which I guess means he had some Chinese-language ability.
