His obituary appears on page 3 of the China Mail for 1st Feb 1950:

Obituary

Mr. W. F. Simmons

Mr. W. F. Simmons General Manager of the Hong Kong Tramways, Limited, died at his residence, No. 358, The Peak, on Monday night, at the age of 49.

Mr. Simmons was interned at Stanley during the war and had never completely recovered from the effects.

Rene Auguste BUTTON [1899-1974]

R. A. Button is described on the Stanley Camp Log held by the Imperial War Museum as a British man who 'left ((Stanley)) camp' at some unspecified time. His name is also marked with the symbol that means he was eventually re-interned in Ma Tau-wai Camp (Kowloon).

DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Nettle's occupation in 1941 as "Hotel Manager".
