Mary Jane Fowlie is listed on page J199 of the Civil Establishments of Hongkong, for the Year 1932. It says she was working as a teacher ("Mistress") at Queen's College, first appointed on 27th April, 1931. She's still shown as working at the same job on page J17 of the 1939 Blue Book.
