Nell Hall was a Canadian/American missionary serving the Assemblies of God Church. Nell and her husband, Abel married in 1936 and set sail for China on Christmas Day of the same year. They arrived in Hong Kong and later pioneered a church in Tai Po Market. By December 1941, the Halls had two sons, Arlin, aged 3 and Cecil, a baby only six weeks old. Both children were born in Hong Kong.

Raymond Tyson Moyer was a missionary, teacher and agricultural expert. After his graduation from Oberlin College in 1921, he was sent to their mission school, Ming Hsien Christian School in Taigu, Shanxi. At Ming Hsien, Moyer later headed their agricultural department and established a programme aimed at improving the farming methods of rural Shanxi province.
Julia A. Anderson and her husband, Benjamin L. Anderson were missionaries and arrived in China in about 1905/06. Through their hard work and devotion, they helped and established a strong Adventist presence in the province of Fujian.
In May 1938, Julia Anderson left for Hong Kong due to the Sino-Japanese War whilst her husband stayed behind in Kulangsu. He was later interned. After Hong Kong had fallen, she was sent to Stanley Internment Camp and later was repatriated with other Americans to the United States.

Catherine Park and her husband, Harland A. Park were American missionaries serving the Assemblies of God Church. They came to Hong Kong in 1930 and went into China in 1931. In 1936, she became Principal of the First Assembly of God Church Primary School in Hong Kong.
Harland A. Park and his wife, Catherine Park were American missionaries serving the Assemblies of God Church. They came to Hong Kong in 1930 and went into China in 1931. He later became Superintendent of the South China District of the Assemblies of God.

After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned in Stanley Camp and repatriated with other Americans to the United States in 1942.
