Leiter L. Baker appears in the 1941 Jurors List as an Inspector in the Arnhold Trading Co., Ltd. He was interned and repatriated with other Americans in 1942. He returned to Hong Kong and reappears in the 1947 Jurors List as Leiter Lee Baker working for the same company.
Obituary/Memorial:
Leiter L. Baker, 80, died 18 September at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Washington. He was buried in the National Cemetery, Culpepper, on 21 September.
Previously worked for Dupont de Nemours in Shanghai. In Hong Kong in 1941. Interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated in 1942.

In 1941, William Thomas Costen was an Assistant Accountant with Standard Vacuum Oil Co. Ltd.. After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States.
After his return, he recounted "the horrors of war" in the Worcester Democrat newspaper in October 1942. See the following links:
Frances Charlotte Cooper was married to John Antony Cooper in Foochow. Both were interned at Stanley Camp.
Being American born, Mrs. Cooper was on the Gripsholm passenger list and repatriated to the United States in 1942. Her spouse being British remained at Stanley Camp.

James Wilton Clague and his wife moved to Shanghai in about 1930. He later appears in Hong Kong in the 1939 Jurors List as a Passenger Agent for American President Lines. In 1940, Clague's wife and son were evacuated to the United States.
After the fall of Hong Kong, Clague was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.
Carlton Lynn Castle was a lecturer at Lingnan University's Western Languages Department. Lingnan had transferred to the University of Hong Kong during the Sino-Japanese hostilities.

Cameron Arthur Carter and his wife, Mabel were American missionaries and Seventh-day Adventists. They sailed to China in 1922 and worked in different parts of the country during their long and illustrious career.
Mary Carman was the wife of William Floyd Carman. Her spouse had been working for Marsman, Hong Kong, China Ltd., at the time of the Japanese invasion.
They were interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated with other Americans in 1942. Prior to departure on the voyage home on the Gripsholm, the couple reunited with their son who had arrived on the Conte Verde and had been studying in Shanghai when war broke out.
Mary Carman and her husband died together in January 1952 in an unfortunate accident of carbon monoxide poisoning in their New York City apartment.
W. F. Carman was Acting Managing Director of Marsman, Hong Kong, China Ltd., which had a contract with the Hong Kong Government to build air raid tunnels and shelters. He gave evidence at the A. R. P. Commission of Inquiry held in 1941.

Father Callan belonged to the Maryknoll Mission. He went to China in 1931 and was based in Guangdong Province. In the autumn of 1941, he became seriously ill and was hospitalized in Hong Kong. After the fall of Hong Kong, he was sent to Stanley Camp and later repatriated in 1942.
