Constructed in the 1860's. In 1949 only the two units on the eastern end of the building survived, where 62C & half of 62D Robinson Road now stand.
The Director of The Richmond Estate's house
Home of Deputy Surgeon General Robert Lewer, PMO, AMS in 1888. In evidence he states the house was built in 1882 and that sanitary conditions are poor - his wife and child have had fever and many servants/coolies have died
In the early 1900 there was a hosue at this address called Gilston in the same location as Eastley. As the building survived to 1920 its likely Eastley was renamed.

It was at 57 Robinson Road on a map dated 1986. The plot of land ran from Robinson Road up to Conduit Road.
