1930s Junction of Nathan and Lock/Haiphong Roads

Circa 1939/40.

After the site of the Station Hotel was demolished in 1936, The Wing Sang Dairy Co. had a store in a newly erected one-storey building at 71 Nathan Road, G/F and 1/F. Mention is made in the newspapers of the company's existence in 1939. Signage of The Wing Sang Dairy Co. can also be seen on the top side wall of the building at the junction of Nathan and Lock Roads here from the 1950s.

The corner building at 45-64 Haiphong Road is shown having four storeys. Post-war, this section of building at the corner with Nathan Road is seen having only three storeys, likely due to war damage.
