Cropped image highlighting the crane rather than the aircraft carrier
Unusual dockside crane configuration- centre frame structure apparently taking all the weight emanating from the operating cab and lifting boom down to one, wheeled base. Supported by two outrigger legs (only one visible).
All presumably on quayside rail tracks.
I don’t recall seeing any alternative or clearer images of this crane at the naval base or indeed what type it is?

This particular crane was situated to the east of the entrance to the drydock.
Naval dockyard crane
Thank you for highlighting this dockyard image which, when zoomed in shows the same unusual quayside crane.

Internet searches so far do not reveal anything on this particular type of harbour-dockside crane's structure.
From Gwulo’s images of the naval dockyard over the years, the large cranes seem to change frequently, perhaps forced by the increasing size and width of naval vessels.
