Reclamation at Hung Hom continues. The place where the Hung Hom ferry pier to Wanchai & North Point [1979-c.1988] was located has just been reclaimed. Think the photo is from July 1989, compare the aerial photo from 16 August 1989 where reclamation has progressed in some extent.
The Hung Hom Ferry Pier (Middle pier of three piers off Whampoa Street) [1963-1988] seems to be still serviced by Star Ferry boat, the lifetime of this pier should be set to 1989.
At the top left edge of the photo reclamation activities for the Kwai Chung Container Terminal can be seen.
