Caption of the Main Photo
The caption reads: Mr. A. Raven and Mrs. Tribble, wife of a government official, having their first square meal after the arrival of the British forces in Hong Kong. Said Mrs. Tribble "There were seven of us in a room 12 x 15, four men and three women. We had to cook, eat, sleep, and do everything in this room - there were not many conventions."
