This little Pillbox is located in the corner of the small beach behind the Bus depot in Shek O. If you have not been there before there is a little Bar called "The Back Beach Bar" which is a fantastic place to "Re-hydrate" after a walk or a day on the beach. It very reasonably priced with beers $20/Bottle, right next to the beach, with a great view. Perfect before/after having a Thai meal.
I went for a little walk a couple of weeks ago from Tai Tam to Shek O. Along the way I took a couple of photos of the Pillbox right on the waters edge opposite Red Hill.

The only mention of the pillbox in Tony Banham's 'Not the slightest chance' is for 10am on 19th December 1941:

On P96 of Tony Banham's 'Not the slightest chance' there's a map of HK's pill boxes. It shows PB45 as due north of Mt Butler, about midway between the mountain and the shoreline. I haven't managed to find it yet.
Does anyone know it's location, and whether anything remains of it still?

Thanks to Rob Weir for locating this pillbox. It was built on the steps of the Victoria Recreation Club (VRC). The VRC was built on the western edge of the reclamation for the Royal Navy's dockyard, and so the steps led down into the waters of Victoria Harbour.

Tim Ko's 'War Relics in the Green, ISBN: 962 993 295 4' has a section 'Wanchai Gap and Lady Clementi's Ride'. The map on that page shows three pillboxes. T has already added the one by the dam, and the one to the East of the reservoir. Here's the third.
If you walk down Aberdeen Reservoir Road from Wanchai Gap, a short way down a clear trail leads off to the left. The trail goes straight for a short distance, before u-turning back to the left. From memory, the Pillbox is on that bend.
This vent prompted me to go after it.
This appears to be one of those waterworks stone markers to me.
