Details from John Black's list, which gives his profession in 1941 as "Dairy Farm".

He's mentioned in the 1941 Juror's list:

c   Curtis, Eric Charles Frank. Butcher, Dairy Farm, Ice & Cold Storage Co., Ld. 78A Nathan Road, Kowloon.

Details from John Black's list, which lists her as "Nurse" in 1941.

Her full name is "Dorothy Margery", but in W J Carrie's diary he always refers to her as "Margery".

There's some confusion over the spelling of his name. Eric MacNider spells it "Brenchley" on several pages of his diary, so that's the version I'll use. But there's also:

  • "A G Benchley, b. 1892, Merchant" in John Black's list, and
  • "Brengchley, A.G. Mr. Food Control, Gloucester Hotel NKH" on the Hong Kong War Diary website

(I checked the 1939 Jurors' List and Blue Book, but couldn't find any matching name.)
