A long-winded name-location for a public toilet. Built in April 1930, it was a two-storey building with seats for 54 persons. Men on the G/F and women on the 1/F. At some point it was rebuilt to include additional floors as well as a street-level refuse collection point. Demolished in 2016.

I'm currently researching PUBLIC TOILETS/LATRINES of HK. I know the first public bath house was in Pound Lane in 1904, but does anybody know of older public toilets that are still around today? I know the Ice House Public toilets were built around 1902 and a latrine in Belcher's ST in 1901 but are there any Victorian ones still around? I've heard there used to be cast iron latrines dotted around the city, one on Battery Path, not sure if theres any sign of it now. Any helpful information would be much appreciated.

Another building in the middle of the praya. First mentioned in the Government Gazette (call for tender) in 1901 "on the praya opposite Marine Lot 22". The work was delayed, the principal cause of the delay being the failure of a local company to supply the glazed bricks. The Public Works Report for 1903 refers:
The three urinals referred to in last year's Report as having been delayed from various causes, namely……[the] one on the Praya near the Canton and Macao Steamboat Co.'s pier were completed.

Two public urinals were erected in Connaught Road of 8 divisions each, one opposite Marine Lot No. 54 and one opposite Marine Lot No. 224.
The urinal was located very close to the Osaka Shosen Kaisha (O.S.K.) Wharf, therefore it is visible on some photos showing this pier.
Another prominent building in the middle of the praya, the "Urinal on Connaught Road, opposite the end of Douglas Street". First mentioned in the Government Gazette (call for tender) in 1905 "opposite Marine Lot 62". Opened in 1906.
Appears on many praya photos. Likely survived world war II, and was demolished when traffic increased on Connaught Road in the 1950s.
In this photo from 1953, the urinal would be just outside on the left. Looking at the cars, they drive straight ahead and likely not around the urinal building.
