Dorabjee Naorojee Mithaiwala's exact birth date is not documented. However, historical records estimate he was born in the early 19th century, around 1832 in Bombay (now Mumbai), India

Dorabjee Naorojee Mithaiwala died on July 7, 1904, in Bombay (modern-day Mumbai), India, after returning from a highly successful career in Hong Kong. 

Ezekiel Isaac ELLIS [c.1855-1911]

Ezekiel Isaac Ellis arrived in Hong Kong around 1876 and had a long record of duty as clerk with Messrs. E. D. Sassoon & Co. He was a popular member of the Jewish community and Secretary of the (Ohel Leah) Synagogue. 

He was first married to Madelien Ellis. They had 12 children:

As per the SCMP article dated May 31st 1919 from the Carl smith card #00155487 Hajee Mahomed Hassum Chiney , proprietor of the firm M.H.E . Ellias, Wyndham St aged 59. had given $21,000 for the rebuilding of Mosque (mostly jamia)

Im not sure if this person is the same as H.M.H ESSACK ELIAS

Frederick John Dealtry LUGARD [1858-1945]

Frederick John Dealtry Lugard, 1st Baron Lugard GCMG CB DSO PC, known as Sir Frederick Lugard between 1901 and 1928, was a British soldier, mercenary, explorer of Africa and a colonial administrator. He was the 14th Governor of Hong Kong (1907–1912).

Gladys Emma DONNITHORNE (née INGRAM) [1891-1977]

Gladys Emma Ingram was born in India in 1891, and was part of a large family.  Her father was a barrister.  Gladys' parents, Thomas and Victoria Ingram, were close friends of William and Evangeline Booth, founders of the Salvation Army, and the family was strongly evangelical in its faith.

Arratoon Vertannes APCAR [1872-1931]

Mr Arratoon Vertannes Apcar was a shipping merchant and long time Hong Kong resident of some 38 years and descended from the Armenian Apcar family originally from Persia. He was the managing director and founder of Messrs. A.V. Apcar and Co. Ltd.. He started in the opium business but later founded the firm of merchants and commission agents which bore his name. For some years the firm was agents in Hong Kong for the Ultramarino Bank of Macao.

Henry Lechmere CLIFT (aka Harry) [1876-1949]

Dr Harry Lechmere Clift was a pioneering medical missionary.  Born in MadrasIndia in 1876, his father was an executive engineer in the Indian railways.  Lechmere was his mother's surname.  It seems to have been a common practice in Victorian times to use the wife's surname as a middle name for sons and sometimes daughters.
