Dorothy Ah Gan  birth registered 1914

Father Edward Ah Gan Mother's maiden name Harris

Hi Ann(?), I am nor familiar with the Ah Gan name, Hazel's maiden name was Cheung to the best of my knowledge, her married name was da Silva, she married a Ricardo Domingo da Silva (Ricardo was my uncle, my dad's older brother) before WWII. After the war they had one son Roberto (Robert) Eduardo da Silva (my cousin) he, sadly passed away on 23rd Dec 2019 in Melbourne.

Some time ago Ted Harris' wartime memoir (as a teen ager he was interned in Stanley camp) was made available to me through Robert's wife (she obtained it from Ted's widow) and I made that available to David Bellis.

Are you researching the family? In recent times I have been in touch with some members of that family (regrettably, meeting some of them at Roberts funeral in Jan 2020). I have met George as well as his second wife Dolores as well as their three sons, I believe Dolores is still alive and lives in Perth, I have not seen her since the early 80s.

If you wish, you may contact me through this Forum or direct at bobdasilva49@gmail.com. I live in Brisbane, back in the 80s Dolores lived in Peregian in the Sunshine Coast after George passed away.

Regards Bob
