This is another photo from the Hong Kong album of William Richmond Fell. Google tells me that there isn't a specific "Waterwitch" Bay, but that the name may refer to Clearwater Bay or Deep Water Bay. I should be interested to know what everybody thinks. The year would be 1928 or 1929 when HMS Titania and the 4th Submarine flotilla was off Hong Kong. I don't recognize the occupants of the boat.

Waterwitch Bay
HMS Titania and the 4th Submarine Flotilla also travelled up north to the port of Wei Hai Wei/Weihaiwei, a British concession at the time and likely visited bays and inlets nearby on the Shantung (Shandong) coast.
For old nautical place names on the China coast, see "Asiatic Pilot" and scroll to Page 144 for Waterwitch Bay:
Waterwitch Bay, between Yau Yuen Tsui (Finger Point) and Cape Cod with Eddy Island (Chu Tau), is open and affords good anchorage. With northeasterly and northwesterly winds, a heavy swell sets in. The best anchorage in northerly and northwesterly winds is in the middle of its eastern bight.
One may also refer to "Shantung (China)" and scroll to Pages 14/15 for Cape Cod and Eddy Island:
Cape Cod was a short distance to the north of Weihaiwei and Eddy Island lies a little north-west of Cape Cod. See 1906 map: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Weihaiwei#/media/File:Wei-Hai-Wei_(1906).jpg

Waterwitch Bay
You knock Google into a cocked hat, moddsey. You are vastly more erudite. I wondered if Waterwitch Bay was up near Wai Hei Wai. WRF mentions "the widows of Wai Hei Wei" who appear in another photo. They seemed to provide good company for the visiting submariners. Waterwitch is a lovely, romantic name for a bay. I wonder who coined it. That's another quest!
Re: Waterwitch
Likely named after HMS Waterwitch. I believe the vessel performed the hydrological survey of Wei Hai Wei.
Waterwitch
Well that solves it. How satisfying! Thank you, moddsey.
