My mother, Corrine Ellery, was born in Shanghai in 1934, where she and her family were interned by the Japanese during the War. Upon liberation, they moved to Hong Kong and lived in a house on Cameron Road in Tsim Sha Tsui between 1946-1948, after which they moved to Havelock Terrace in Kowloon Docks. Initially, she and her sister Iris attended Diocesan Girls School until places became available for them at KGV. I believe this photo of my mother was taken outside her home at 3 Cameron Road in 1948 and that she is probably wearing the KGV summer uniform, not the Diocesan Girls School one. Is anyone able to confirm this? Also, does anyone recognise the building in the background?
