European House #10 Cheung Chau with occupants

If we have Lamma Island in the distance, I am fairly confident we can say this is a picture of House #10 as it originally looked.  Built in 1912 and owned by the Canton Villages Mission as a holiday/rest house for its staff in South China.

Outside the house we can see Margaret McNeur, who was the wife of the Rev George McNeur, the first CVM missionary to go out to Canton with the CVM founder the Rev Alexander Don in 1901

With Margaret McNear is their daughter Jean, and Rev P Milne, presumably another missionary.

The house build is sturdy granite blocks, with additional masonry round the roof.  We see the wooden shutters open on the windows and door.  All precautions against the typhoon season.

On the left we see the chevron-shaped annex which housed the kitchen, pantry and servants’ rooms.

Just one thing missing, the small white building on the LH side. ?????

I think the photo below with the chimney in the centre shows European House #10 belonging to the NZ Presbyterian Mission. On the left, there is a smaller building likely built for domestic staff.

Likely a view from #10 towards Lamma: https://pcanzarchives.recollect.co.nz/nodes/view/83186?keywords=cheung+chau&type=all&highlights=WyJjaGV1bmciLCJjaGF1Il0%3D&lsk=dd402668fa56d46d811ef09fd614cfd8
