Mah Jong Game. During the extended period of the funeral of a Ping Shan village elder, the family allowed me to witness the celebration of the old man's life and the rituals they observed. I was very suprised one day to see two of the family playing mah jong with two of the officiating priests. I did not use a camera flash at any time as I thought that this would be too intrusive so the few photos that I took were by available light only. Looking back at that time I am quite suprised that I was allowed to take photos. at all
