Central reclamation
This aerial photograph shows the Central Reclamation Stage II in progress. The three small piers are for the use of the G.P.O. The base of the new Public Pier for replacing Blake Pier ……(?)
New Star Ferry Pier on the left, Blake Pier top left. In front of the (old) G.P.O. is the GPO Mail distribution bridge and tower [c.1955-c.1977].
