Post Card of Tsim Sha Tsui near Carnarvon Road

Earlier came across this on a website and saved this photo of Carnarvon Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, which I believe was taken around the 1930s.  An interesting angle of the district, and surprised with how quiet the district was when the photo was taken.  Have not done work to figure out which road is which yet.

Date picture taken

Hi Mark, thanks for posting. A couple of clues:

  • The photographer is up somewhere high
  • The roads & buildings aren't in a neat grid, instead they're at an angle to each other.

I think the photographer is up on Signal Hill looking Northwest. The buildings in the foreground run along Mody Road, and the three-story building in the centre runs along the eastern side of Cornwall Avenue.

Regards, David
