Here is the Rate Book entry for 4 and 5 Broadwood Road in 1916-1917, which was the first listing for Broadwood Road that I found. I recall correspondence querying the location of I.L. 1911 and relating it to Mr Brutton's house (misspelt as Mr Button). I have previously recorded this on the site. The houses that existed before Broadwood Road was named (including these) were listed in Leighton Hill. See Govt. Report No. 225, 8 August, 1913 - "It is hereby notified that the road ascending the hill on the east side of Happy Valley and giving access to houses on Inland Lots nos 1911, 1946, 1947 etc., shall in future be known as Broadwood Road."
