Fond memories. I lived in Hong Kong for three years as a child. Arrived 1958 and left 1961. I don't recognise any of the modern photographs of Hong Kong.
Every year I used to go to Stonecutters Island, my treasure island as a kid. Ruined now by connection to the mainland.
this photograph is interesting, the China Fleet Club can be seen with the San Migual sign on the roof.Gloucester road ended at the C.F.C. this picture shows the road extended into Central.and the new Police headquarters built near the C.F.C. should say this picture was taken around 1970..
I don't think this can be as recent as the 1970s, as by then we'd see the big reclamation in front of this part of the seafront. Here's how it looked already in 1967:
