This replaced the earlier Police Station that was further north near San Hui (see https://gwulo.com/node/45963).
Over at the FB group "The Royal Hong Kong Police Force", Trevor Hollingsbee adds that it was "used it as an admin facility for Marine West Division in the 1990s after it had shut as a police station."
It was replaced by the current Castle Peak Police Station, built on reclaimed land on the west side of Tuen Mun (see: https://gwulo.com/node/45965).
Position of marker is approximate.
I'm not 100% sure it was called Castle Peak Police Station. It may have been named after one of the nearby villages such as San Hui.
The dates are an estimate, based on the years that this police station appears on the maps at http://www.hkmaps.hk/mapviewer.html. As of 23 May 2019, the earliest map that shows it is "Map 1928" (not shown on "Map 1922"), and the latest map that shows it is "Map 1957" (not shown on "Map 1960").

Hello,
I'm looking for photos or other material taken in the Ping Shan of the New Territories before 1980. My family had an ancestral memorial (graves) there, within walking distance of Old Ping Shan police station. It was exhumed owing to the development of Hong Kong in the late 80's or so.
The location of the original site has been lost. I would like to collect more images and information of the surrounding area at the time, for the benefit of future generations.
