Rev. Oswald Jackson Quick or Rev. "Oz" was a Baptist missionary. He was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated in 1942.
In Prisoner of the Japs by Gwen Dew, he worked long hours in the camp kitchen and ensured there was sufficient boiled water for the internees.
Rev. "Oz" continued his missionary work in Taiwan after the war.

Alice Elaine Pyne was the second wife of Joseph Sterling Pyne. They were interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Dr. Joseph Sterling Pyne was a dental surgeon. He was interned with his wife at Stanley Camp and repatriated to the United States in 1942. At the time of his repatriation, he had been a dentist in Hong Kong for 17 years.

John Walter Powell was a representative of Texaco Oil Co in the Far East. In December 1941, he was travelling by boat from Tientsin (Tianjin) to Shanghai. However, his boat was unexpectedly called into Hong Kong. He arrived in the city on 7 December and remained stuck in Hong Kong after the Japanese invasion had begun.
John Powell was interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated to the United States in 1942.
He returned to Hong Kong in 1947 and resumed work at Texaco.

She may have been the wife or related to Alfonso Georgio Piovanelli, the Italian manager of the Hong Kong Hotel before the commencement of WWII.

Brother Bernard George Petley was better known as Brother Anselm and belonged to the Maryknoll Mission. He was assigned to Hong Kong in 1928.

Sallie Auris Pender, better known as Auris Pender was a Southern Baptist missionary who went to China in 1935. She was present in Hong Kong during the Japanese invasion and interned at Stanley Camp. She was repatriated to the United States in 1942.
In the 1950s, Auris Pender went to Singapore to continue her missionary work.
