Gerard Horace GANDY [1896-1987]
Lieut-Commander Gerard Horace Gandy commanded MTB 10, one of the Motor Torpedo Boats that took part in the Christmas day escape from Hong Kong.

John Edward POTTER (aka Jack) [1905-1941]
John Potter went to Oundle School in England and later qualified as an architect (ARIBA).
He went to Hong Kong in 1931 as Assistant Architect at Leigh and Orange Architects, becoming a partner in 1935.
He was responsible for the design and completion of many buildings in Hong Kong, both public and private. A number of his buildings still stand 80 years later.
John married Norah Huson in November 1939 and they had a son, Christopher, in 1941.

Arthur Rylands LOWE [1873-1924]
Arthur Rylands Lowe became Hong Kong's first full-time professional accountant in June 1902. He also set up an office in Shanghai in 1906 with J.E. Bingham as partner. When F.N. Matthews joined the partnership, the firm became known as Lowe, Bingham & Matthews "LBM" for short. It was the antecedent of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
