Jeanne MOQUIN (aka Sister St. Jean de l’Eucharistie) [????-????]

Sister St. Jean de l’Eucharistie was a nun and teacher who belonged to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. During the Battle of Hong Kong, she worked at La Salle Relief Hospital. She was later interned at Stanley Camp. Sister St. Jean de l’Eucharistie was released with four other Sisters in December 1942 and arrived in Canton on 18 December.

Anna BOURBEAU (aka Sister Marie du St. Sacrement) [????-????]

Sister Marie du St. Sacrement was a nun and teacher who belonged to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. During the Battle of Hong Kong, she worked at La Salle Relief Hospital. Josephine BOLDUC (aka Sister Marie des Victoires) [????-????]

Sister Marie des Victoires was a nun and teacher who belonged to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. During the Battle of Hong Kong, she worked at La Salle Relief Hospital. She was later interned at Stanley Camp. Sister Marie des Victoires was released with four other Sisters in December 1942 and arrived in Canton on 18 December.

Marion F. SKEHAN (aka Sister Rose Olive) [1908-1972]

Marion F. Skehan was better known as Sister Rose Olive. She served the Maryknoll Sisters and was assigned to Hong Kong around 1934.

After the fall of Hong Kong, she was residing at Maryknoll Convent School. On 8 February 1942, eighteen Sisters of the school including Sister Rose Olive were interned at Stanley Camp. 

She was released from camp in June 1942 and repatriated to the United States.

Dorothy Catherine KANE (aka Sister Joseph Marie) [1905-1995]

Dorothy Catherine Kane was better known as Sister Joseph Marie. She served the Maryknoll Sisters and arrived in Hong Kong in 1930. She initially taught in Kowloon, then at Holy Spirit School and later Maryknoll Convent School in Kowloon Tong.

After the fall of Hong Kong, she was residing at Maryknoll Convent School. On 8 February 1942, eighteen Sisters of the school including Sister Joseph Marie were interned at Stanley Camp. 

She was released from camp in June 1942 and repatriated to the United States.

John Joseph PETERS (aka Brother Cornelius) [1894-1973]

Brother John Joseph Peters was known as Brother Cornelius Peters, FSC, and served the Brothers of the Christian Schools - La Salle (De La Salle Brothers). He arrived in Hong Kong in 1940 and taught at St. Joseph's College. 

Brother Cornelius was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Margaret Mary CUNNINGHAM (aka Sister Henrietta Marie) [1913-1988]

Margaret Mary Cunningham was better known as Sister Henrietta Marie. She served the Maryknoll Sisters and was sent to China in October 1936 to the Kongmoon (Jiangmen) mission, Guangdong for language study. However, in January 1937 likely due to her teaching background, she was quickly reassigned duties as a kindergarten and primary school teacher in the Maryknoll Convent School in Kowloon Tong.
