Marion F. Skehan was better known as Sister Rose Olive. She served the Maryknoll Sisters and was assigned to Hong Kong around 1934.
After the fall of Hong Kong, she was residing at Maryknoll Convent School. On 8 February 1942, eighteen Sisters of the school including Sister Rose Olive were interned at Stanley Camp.
She was released from camp in June 1942 and repatriated to the United States.
After the war, Sister Rose Olive sharpened her music skills through hard work and studies and became an excellent piano instructor. She was in Hong Kong between 1950 and 1966 and during that period taught music. She coached and prepared her students to achieve a high standard of excellence in piano examinations.
