Mrs Olga Ferrier’s name appears on a list, compiled by “moddsey” and posted on Gwulo on 9-9-2014, of “personnel who have completed 96 hours of hospital training for qualification as an Auxiliary Nursing Service Nurse – Hong Kong Daily Press 3 July 1941.”

ANS Nurse Olga Ferrier was married to W/O Vivian Ferrier of the HKRNVR.

During the hostilities Nurse Olga Ferrier served with the ANS at Queen Mary Hospital.

Following the ceasefire Mrs Olga Ferrier was interned at Stanley.

Faith Mary Snuggs was a Baptist missionary teacher. She came from a missionary family and served in South China and Hong Kong. 

During the Battle of Hong Kong, she was stationed at La Salle Relief Hospital. After the fall of Hong Kong, she was interned at Stanley Camp.

Faith M. Snuggs' name/signature appears under "La Salle College" (La Salle Relief Hospital) on the right on the "Day Joyce Sheet" held by the Imperial War Museum. 

Edith May Begley was a Salvation Army missionary. She was married to Major Colin Keith Henry Begley of the Salvation Army. They arrived in Hong Kong in 1941. Major Begley came to take charge of the Salvation Army's relief work in Hong Kong and South China and later administer the communal feeding centres that were set up by the government.

She joined the Auxiliary Nursing Service after her arrival. During the Battle of Hong Kong, she was stationed at La Salle Relief Hospital.

Jean Sheldon was the wife of Magistrate, Harold George Sheldon. During the Battle of Hong Kong, she was a Hospital Supervisor at La Salle Relief Hospital. She was later interned at Stanley Camp.

A. E. Shields paid tribute to Jean Sheldon for her kindheartedness after Mrs. Shields was repatriated to the USA in 1942.  See here

Eileen Vera Monks was a teacher at Diocesan Girls' School. She joined DGS in 1940. During the Battle of Hong Kong, she worked at La Salle Relief Hospital. She was later interned at Stanley Camp.

Sister St. Jean de l’Eucharistie was a nun and teacher who belonged to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. During the Battle of Hong Kong, she worked at La Salle Relief Hospital. She was later interned at Stanley Camp. Sister St. Jean de l’Eucharistie was released with four other Sisters in December 1942 and arrived in Canton on 18 December.

Norah Marion Wentworth was a teacher of long tenure at Diocesan Girls' School commencing from 1920. She was also with the Auxiliary Nursing Service. During the Battle of Hong Kong, Norah Wentworth worked at La Salle Relief Hospital. She was later interned at Stanley Camp.

Wilhelmina E Williamson was a missionary and teacher. Appears to have arrived in Hong Kong in the 1930s. She joined St. Stephen's Girl's College.

After the fall of Hong Kong, she was interned at Stanley Camp.
