DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Taylor's occupation in 1941 as "Civil Servant".
He is listed in the 1939 Blue Book on page J51 as the Chief Accountant for the Kowloon-Canton Railway, but a note says he was "Attached to Treasury on 23rd October, 1938". It gives the date of his first appointment in the Hong Kong civil service as 31st May, 1913.

He is listed on page J105 of the 1939 Blue Book as Programme Secretary in the Broadcasting department. His "Date of first appointment" is given as Jan 1, 1939.
