Barbara Anslow:

During internment, Marie Barton married V. Morrison of HK Police, who had escaped from Stanley early on but was captured and kept in the Stanley Gaol, and later brought back into camp after which he married Marie.

In Stanley Internment Camp, R. Heasman used to do violin practice in a sort of shed (used I think as the camp mortuary) near the gaol.

DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Heasman's occupation in 1941 as "Secretary".

Cyril BROWN [1904-1997]

John Black's list gives his occupation in 1941 as "Clerk in Holy Orders", the official title for a clergyman in the Church of England.

Rev Cyril Brown, very popular on Stanley stage, also known for his kindness and help  to fellow internees.

Miss A. M. Davies was Matron of the hospital in Stanley Internment Camp.
