Japanese Tunnel off Little Sai Wan Camp Road ( Tunnel 49) [????- ]

Submitted by Lewis on Thu, 03/21/2024 - 15:44

Japanese tunnel next to the Dragon's Trail.  Opening is through a small crack through a thin wall of concrete. Around 8-9 feet in length, with a length of around 60 metres. The first section of the cave is quite wide and spacious, with a side chamber to the left, however it narrows into a small squarish passageway for around 5 metres, until you reach a vertical shaft with a rock pile, from which you can climb to reach an exit, which has a clear view of the bay below. The tunnel circumvents the entire ridge, and there is some trash within the tunnel, probably from public works workers.

Japanese Cave west of Jardine's Burnie [c.1942- ]

A Japanese tunnel but only hollowed out into a large room; there do not appear to be any collapsed tunnels. Consistent with other Japanese fortifications in the area. Some bricks found inside. The latitude and longitude are correct but the cave is on the west side of the stream, not the east.

Japanese Wartime Tunnel, Bukit Timah tunnels (South) [????- ]

This is one of the WWII Japanese tunnels in Bukit Timah Hill, Singapore. From this gated entrance you can see light far away from the other side, which might be another entrance of the tunnel. It is flooded, like the tunnel located north to it, or may be they are within the same tunnel system.

This is one of the WWII Japanese tunnels in Bukit Timah Hill, Singapore. It is flooded and gated. It extends several meters from the entrance, and seems to turn to other sides deep into the hill, like many tunnels in HK. South to it is another tunnel entrance. Not sure if they are connected somewhere inside.
