It looks as though he returned to Hong Kong after recuperating in Australia, as page 19 of the Jun 19 1949 issue of the SCMP has an article "IMMIGRATION: Rules Broken By Junk Owners COURT WARNING" that mentions a "Sub. Insp. Korshoonoff of the Boarding Office".
Archibald Alex Kay migrated from Hong Kong in 1951 with his wife Thelma Maria Kay nee Webster with their daughters Paulette and Gloria, and Arkady’s mother Palageia. Archibald Alex Kay (Arkady Alexevich/Arkady Alekseevich Korshoonoff) died 28 December 1962. Mother Palageia Alexondrona Korshoonoff died 16 May 1952. Thelma Maria Kay died 23 April 2012. All are buried in the Eastern suburbs Memorial Park. Archibald was forced to leave Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Police following his report of corruption in the force. He was placed in a sanitarium and only allowed to leave by promising not to pursue the report and to leave Hong Kong. He was given 1000 Australian pounds and passage for his family (family anecdote). Paulette went to Hong Kong and went to the Hong Kong Police to find out more but there was nothing in the records apart from ‘satisfactory service’.
